“In order for the light to shine so brightly, the darkness must be present.” ― Francis Bacon
Light painting is one of my favorite forms of photography. I feel like a dancer, fine artist and photographer in one. Bouncing around like a ninja in my all black outfit complete with hood, it’s a blast to swirl light around almost as if in a dance. I like the spontaneity and not really knowing exactly what the result will be in the end. It feels like a bit of magic hangs in the air to create the final photo.
I draw inspiration from some of the great light painters out there like Patrick Rochon, Aurora Crowley, and Eric Paré. These men are so inventive with their light sources, creating images that spark the senses.
