Portrait sessions begin at $350

Your original unedited photos are yours to keep, as well as select favorites from the day retouched for printing however you like.

A shoot begins with you and I discussing your needs and coming up with a plan that suits them. We will go over locations and I will often scout the area before your actual photo shoot to make sure it’s the best fit.

I shoot exclusively on location with natural light, whether it be a beautiful place in nature or your front porch. Just before sunset or early morning are the ideal times for artistic portraits when the light is soft. If you’re looking for a northern Michigan photographer, I’m based in Harbor Springs, which is near to iconic vacation areas like Mackinac Island, Traverse City and Bay Harbor. I’m also originally from Detroit and travel downstate regularly.

I understand getting your photo taken can be awkward for some, but I want you to know you are in good hands. If you need help, I’ll give you suggestions to ease you into being comfortable in front of the lens. There is no time limit on shoots, the sunlight being our only time constraint, though most last between 1 and 2 hours.

With no creative bone in my body, my hope is that whatever photographer we work with has the vision and leadership to come up with great and unique shots without direction from us. Sheri is that photographer and more! She has a unique perspective coming from a travel-inspired photographic background that she is able to apply to all portraits, be it family, landscapes or architecture. She’s not afraid to take risks and throw out new ideas finding potential in every home and setting. My favorite part is being able to see her beautiful edited pics at the end of the day through the pictures that have become among the most revered in our house.
